Unpolished steel case with lovely original chamfering to the lugs which have a few knocks and scratches as per the photos, the bezel insert is a great colour with lovely fat numerals. |
Dial: |
The unrestored dial has a slightly brown tropical ‘tinge' to it in certain lights as some of the photographs show I hope; the hands are original, and they have the original lume which matches the original lume hour dots and all the lume shows up bright and beautiful under UV light. The dial has numerous ‘speckling' and some small areas where the varnish is degrading – this is not the perfect glossy-gilt dial but it is unrestored and it has immense character – if you want the perfect gloss-gilt dial then this watch is not for you, on the other hand if you want a really good honest glossy-gilt-slightly-brown dial then look no further, it is wonderful. |
